EAST OF SCOTLAND CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the East of Scotland Championship, entrants must:
- Be a member of one of the participating Counties/Merged Bodies that form the East Division of Scotland (East Lothian Ladies County Golf Association; Fife Golf Limited; Midlothian County Ladies Golf Association; and Stirling & Clackmannan County Ladies Golf Association).
- Be of amateur status as defined by R&A Rules Limited.
- Be a female or non-binary player whose sex assigned at birth was female.
- In possession of a WHSTM Handicap Index®.

TERMS OF COMPETITION
- This Competition is organised by the East of Scotland Committee and shall be played over 18 holes, stroke play. It will be played towards the end of the playing season, by rotation at clubs within the four Counties of the East Division of Scotland.
- The Competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Limited and any Local Rules or Additional Rules introduced by the Organising Committee.
- The use of Caddies will be allowed.
- The use Golf Buggies is permitted under the East of Scotland Division Transportation Policy. Any player requiring the use of a buggy must get permission from the organising committee and sign the Transportation Policy Consent Form.
- In the event of the competition having to be cancelled due to due to bad weather then the competition would be cancelled and either replayed at another time or cancelled completely.
- TEAM COMPETITION – Counties must inform the organisers of the four team members no less than 30 minutes prior to the first tee off time.
- The best 3 gross scores count towards the Team Trophy.
- In the event of a tie for the Team Trophy, the fourth gross score will count for the total Team Score. If there is still a tie, a count back of the best individual gross scores will count from the lowest to the highest in each team.
- There should be a consensus of at least two County Captains or representatives.
- Junior Girls should be encouraged to play.
- The East of Scotland Champion shall be the player with the lowest gross score over the 18 holes. In the event of a tie, a count back on the back nine of the last 9/6/3/1 holes will count. If still a tie, there will be a count back on the front 9 of the last 9/6/3/1 holes will count. If there is still a tie, there will be a joint winner of the East of Scotland Championship.
- Vouchers will be awarded for the gross scores to the Champion, Runner-Up and the third place player. Depending on the number of entries, the Organising Committee may award handicap prizes for 1st, 2nd and third places.
EAST OF SCOTLAND CHAMPIONSHIP 2025
The Golf House Club, Elie – Sunday 5th October
The 2025 East of Scotland Championship was won by Jennifer Allan (SCCLGA) with an outstanding gross round of 75, just pipping the 2024 winner Rachael Livingston (MCLGA) into second place with a gross 76.
The Net winner was Jean Cosgrove (SCCLGA) with an excellent net 69, followed by runner up Marie Young (ELLGA) with a 71 (BIH) from Jennifer Ure (SCCLGA).
Well done to the team from SCCLGA (Jennifer Allan, Laura Bisset, Kayleigh Caine & Margo Gardner) who won the team trophy with a score of 242.
